CHP RSL Club Person of the Year

On Saturday 15th May I was honoured to receive the CHP RSL Club Person of the Year Award. It was a wonderful evening and  I would like to personally acknowledge and thank all  the Youth Club committee members past and present for their support and hard work, also to those parents who are always willing to lend a hand.  Thanks also to all the instructors  - you create this fabulous  learning environment that the children thrive in. Without this group of dedicated people the Youth Club would not be what it is today.

NSW RSL Novice Gymnastics Competition –Merrylands RSL Youth Club Sunday 30th May

Congratulations to all our gym members for an outstanding competition, our members represented our Youth Club with great pride and received some great results (click here for photos and results).  Congratulations and thanks to Andrew and Melissa for all their hard work to ensure our children were well prepared. Thanks also to the Assistant Coaches Helen and Courtney for taking time out from their own preparation to assist our younger members with their performances.

Salvation Army –Red Shield Appeal Sunday 30 May

 

It was great to see a few new faces out for this very worthy cause. A total of 37 members collected $1773.83. Thanks to those parents who assisted on the day. Reciprocal Tour to New Zealand 2011

Interviews for 7 members were held last Saturday 12th June, members of  the New Zealand Tours Committee were very impressed by the high standard of applications for the next tour. I am very pleased to announce that Natasha Klansek and Madeleine Whitby have been selected  to represent CHP RSL Youth Club on the tour of New Zealand in 2011. Jessica Lee Foley and Kristie Vranjkovic have been chosen as reserves for the tour. These members will now move forward to the next round of interviews with full New Zealand Tours Committee in late July. We wish them all the best of luck.

 

Exodus Canned Food Drive

The Exodus Foundation feeds the homeless and provides food parcels for needy families in our local community—please help. The Youth Club winter drive is now underway, donations of canned:- soup, fruit, vegetables, baked beans/ spaghetti, pasta sauce, long life milk, packets of pasta, spaghetti, rice noodles etc Please remember NO OUT OF DATE ITEMS and ENSURE THERE IS A SHELF LIFE OF AT LEAST 3 MONTHS. If you would not eat it please do not donate it!!!!!

 

All items to be given to Dance House Mothers / Gymnastics  Andrew or Melissa Gym of each class with students receiving 3 points for their donation.
